I started Lingo after backpacking through Central America and realizing there was no fun, easy way to pick up the Spanish I wanted to learn. One afternoon, I had the light bulb moment to migrate the Spanish from my pocket notebook onto the cards we played every afternoon over sunset cerveza. When playing cards resulted in picking up some Spanish I knew this idea was too good not to share.
