About Bald Guy Greetings

Bald Guy Greetings was founded by Ian Kalman (writer) and Sean Farrell (designer) in 2006. Tired of spending an hour standing in the greeting card aisle searching for a decent card, Sean and Ian decided to do something about it. They set out to make greeting cards that were funny, relatable, and honest. In 2007, it paid off when they won Best Card of the Year and the Rising Star Award at the International Greeting Card Award Show in New York. (The Louie Awards) In 2014, Ian and Sean sponsored a bill before Congress requesting that greeting cards could not be labeled "Funny" or "Humorous" unless proven to actually be funny by a panel of experts. Otherwise, they would have to be labeled, "Almost Funny" or "Funny'ish." Their bill was immediately shot down. Since then, Ian and Sean have been working tirelessly to create several lines of humorous cards, including their most recent line which they launched in March of 2023. Within two weeks, their line was featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and sales spiked. This was the second time their cards were mentioned on The Tonight Show. The first time was in 2016 when Denzel Washington gave a dramatic reading of one of their cards on air. Please take three minutes and read a handful of the cards.
