What began as a small scale pottery shop in 1975 has evolved into a pure artisan studio creating functional pottery for the home. At Rowe Pottery we celebrate the handmade process, the materials we use and the people behind the products we create. Each piece of pottery begins as a raw lump of clay that is transformed into our finished pieces by our team of artisans. Many artists collaborate to create each piece of pottery from clay preparation to throwing, trimming, decoration, glazing and finishing. All pottery is fired in our kilns to a temperature exceeding 2000 degrees. Each time the kiln is opened there is an element of "surprise" as we inspect our work on each piece. Our artisans take pride in the arts with over a century of collective experience with Rowe Pottery. We're woman-owned, locally sourced and handcrafted right here in the heartland of America. Our owner, Bev, loves being a part of creating things that are of value to Rowe's customers and that they use in their everyday lives. "As a collector of Rowe Pottery from a young age, I always am looking for the next great piece to keep things fresh and modern, yet keep with tradition," she says. If you find yourself near Cambridge, feel free to visit our production studio and Company Store at 110 E. Main Street in Cambridge, Wisconsin.
