StarFlips CHANGE THE STYLE With the new label “StarFlips”, Inge and Klaus combine their many years of know-how and experience in the fashion and marketing industry. Her affinity for fashion and practicality at the same time. The idea for this came about in 2017 on a long drive, in traffic jams, from Italy to Bavaria. In the beginning, it was a flip flop that should be comfortable, lightweight, perfect, elegant and fashionable but different. It was then considered whether this classic toe separator could also be designed differently. So we started to perfect “our FlipFlop” while talking in the car and that's when we came up with the idea to make the straps and toe separators interchangeable. The idea for this was to make it quick and easy to transform with just one shoe as a “body” using various straps, studded with stones, tassels, etc. A second consideration for this was the fact that you can travel with just one shoe but actually have three different models with you. Designing, checking and testing all this could only be done at home. Then the phase began in which we put our ideas into practice. As you can imagine, it took a lot of time and work, but we both think it was worth it. In March 2019, we registered and protected our brand “StarFlips” and commissioned our first collection.
