zoo&roo is all about positivity. As a busy mompreneur, I strive to put happy, colorful and inspiring messages behind my creations. We all need to surround ourselves with positive vibes, to lift us up, and sometimes that can come in the form of a spunky pair of earrings or a colorful sticker with a motivational quote from your favorite book. It brings me joy to send happy vibes out into the world. I design all my own products, love custom requests, and laser cut or engrave them in my home studio, which is my happy place! My biggest hobby is reading, and I am so excited to combine my hobby with my business! I listen to audio books all the time while I’m assembling earrings or peeling protective masking from cut acrylic pieces. I get such inspiration from the books I read. So much so that I started doodling and ended up creating a whole collection based on the insanely popular A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, and I am now officially licensed to sell these products! This is a direction I am very excited to take with my business and you can expect more bookish collections from me in the future. I also run fundraisers to give back to causes important to me. I donated a portion of proceeds to the Malala Fund when I sold my Dissent earrings inspired by Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I had a small collection of earrings to support Ukraine. Most recently, I ran a fundraiser to support western NC after Hurricane Helene. It is so important to give back and give hope to others.Read their story
