My name is Debbie Barbarita, and I am the artist & owner of Bebe Blu Designs. While rediscovering my love of art happened a little later in life for me, I feel you are never too old to do something you love, and if you are passionate about what you do...somehow opportunities and a career might just find you instead of you finding it! I place my hand-drawn illustrations on flour sack towels, totes, & pillows I also do commissioned artwork that I place on flour sack towels. My note cards, greeting cards and prints are now part of my 'sister' company Tree Swing Designs. You can find Tree Swing Designs also on Faire. Quality is very important to me. Our flour sack towels, pillows, totes and wine bags are printed with Direct-to-Garment Printing: a water-based ink that bleeds into the fabric leaving the printed area softer. Our flour sack towels are machine washed and dry - plus iron safe. The flour sack towels are 100% cotton, 130 thread count, lint free, hemmed on all sides with a corner loop. The name Bebe Blu Designs evolved organically, thanks in large part to my grandson, Michael. As he learned to speak, Michael tried to say Debbie, but it came out Bebe. It seemed fitting, and so instead of grandma, I became known as Bebe. This name and my love of the color periwinkle blue was the inspiration for Bebe Blu Designs. Read their story
