Our sweet daughter and oldest of 3 was obsessed with cheeks when she was a toddler. Hugging meant putting your face up against hers. Her nickname has been Cheek ever since. Cheek's craft room is a paper sanctuary (a paper explosion as my husband would say)! To her, everything has a special purpose. She will save every Amazon box and piece of paper, down to gum wrapper if it has any sentimental value to her. Our children are our world–hence Cheek’s Paper Room was born. The year was 2020-I had slime stuck to my ceiling, paint stains, and dirty paint water puddles all over my dining room table. Did you run out of toilet paper in 2020? Well, we had quite the inventory spread across my kitchen floor (I did appreciate my child's attempt at cleaning up). As much as I loved the artwork, I did not love the amount of paper waste and water spills. I spent days looking on Amazon for a product that would work for my kids, but to no avail.If I can't find one, I'll make one! I spent countless nights drawing up designs, while I waited for my baby boy to fall asleep. I remember the number of months of testing different materials and vetting manufacturers on quality and safety. I remember the long process to file for patents. Finally! In February 2021, I received my final sample for my kids to test out! Almost 2 years later- I still get slime stains on my ceiling, but it is a beautiful reminder of how far we've come. with love, Nicole + CheekRead their story
