Kari Babcock is a maker and creative based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She co-owns & operates Garden Deva Sculpture Company, whose primary mission is to create artful garden decor and to inspire others to live freely and creatively. "Deva" is an ancient sanskrit word meaning "whimsical spirit." Kari had been busy at Garden Deva hosting art markets, leading metalsmithing classes, and refreshing the studio with metal creations from a variety of local makers. In the fall of 2020, Kari hired Robert Babcock to join the team as a painter and shipper. As an artist his focus has been on painting, but working in a metal art shop intrigued him. Through working together daily, Kari (the owner) and Bobby (the artist) fell in love. Shortly thereafter, they tied the knot in the West Texas desert, and the (now) Babcocks are leading the Garden Deva team together with a continued creative and happy spirit! We are so excited for this new season, to continue making artful garden decor to bring a cheerful spirit to gardens everywhere! Read their story
