Hazy Dell Press is an independent children's book publisher based in Portland, Oregon. We specialize in exciting stories and monstrous characters that promote empathy, inclusivity and imagination—and that adults enjoy as much as children. Hazy Dell Press books often feature popular monsters and cryptids from U.S. and world folklore, including Sasquatch, Chupacabra, Krampus and Mothman. By presenting popular creatures in a non-threatening way, we introduce the fun and wonder of folklore to children in contexts that are free of fear and worry. And while each book is perfectly acceptable for child consumption, there's plenty of gently irreverent humor to keep parents, guardians, teachers, and librarians entertained throughout. In addition to being wondrous and whimsical, monsters are also very easy for any child to identify with.
