About Aurenda

Many people ask us how we chose the name “Aurenda.” The term is actually derived from the Native American Iroquois term "Orenda,” which refers to the incredible power that channels collective energy into animate and inanimate objects — thus “Aurenda” was born. Aurenda is a women-owned, environmentally sustainable apparel company created by Julie O’Connell. Each of our consciously created sweatshirts and workout towels are inspired by an Aura color and inscribed with a unique mantra to support intentionality and manifest greatness in one’s life. From a young age, Julie has understood the instrumental importance of physical fitness, mental health, and intention in one’s life. Whether it's in the yoga studio, on the spin bike, or a run in the park, it is our belief that the few moments we are able to carve out of the day to exercise should be optimized by tapping into both mind and body. We have found that by setting an intention and being reminded of that intention throughout one’s practice, allows for a much more fulfilling experience.
