The roller helps facilitate the slip of the strap through the buckle, in order to protect the skin. The rivets used to to fasten the belts are made from brass and have an environmental zinc plated coating, protecting from rust. The rings that connect the belts are made of a solid steel wire 0.16"/4 mm thick with a high quality zinc coating. The ends of the rings are welded together.
