It's nice and deep to prevent my biggest pet peeve regarding serving dishes — inadvertent spillage when transporting from the kitchen to the table. And like all the pieces in Osteria*Moderna, it stacks beautifully to save space. While not in use, it makes a stellar centerpiece dish to hold citrus and holiday décor.
