Inspired by a life of travel and antiquities, jeweler, Konstantinos Leoussis created KIL N.Y.C. in 2018 to showcase his love of old world techniques and motifs. After studying jewelry design at Parsons School of Design and through various practical apprenticeships, Leoussis began repairing and restoring antique pieces in 2015. Honing his craft, he began creating his own jewelry a few years later, using the art of wax carving. KIL N.Y.C. puts an edgy and modern spin on sentimental jewelry, creating styles that are both easily wearable and instant heirlooms. Each piece is made to order, allowing our customers to chose their desired metal and the option to choose gemstone accents. We lovingly hand-craft each piece in New York, using only ethically sourced materials, and ship carbon-negative. This belief is central to everything he does, for example his recent ‘Aqua’ collection being made entirely by hand from recycled plastic bottles and newspapers. His designs and approach to sustainability is used in the Smithsonian Institute’s material for its youth education programme on the climate; and he lectured at Columbia University’s Climate School during Climate Week in 2023. I founded 8th Sin in 2010, when I was just 15 and had just discovered alternative and Japanese street fashion. I loved all alternative fashion but didn't have the money to buy clothing or accessories for the styles I loved. I started to make my own items; first for myself, then to sell to others via Etsy. I am Silvia Mariasis, director and designer and together with my husband David Quijano we founded a small family business, Noa Ecco, based in Barcelona, Spain. We started many years ago, around 2003 and for the last few years we have been focusing on the use of ecological materials. Our collections of necklaces, rings, earrings and brooches are mainly made of wood, cotton, paper and recycled materials. Color is another sign that defines us.
