Four Pence was the result of a lockdown project turning old coins into unique jewellery.

Koko Jewellery is based in the seaside town of Porthcawl on the South Wales coast. Owner Sophie opened her retail shop in 2009. She has a passion for all things girlie and has been making jewellery since she was 16. Sophie has been dreaming up jewellery designs since she could remember. She wanted to take it one step further and create a new jewellery brand comprising of jewellery not yet seen in the U.K. In December 2017 as part of their honeymoon Sophie and her husband travelled around the incredible Island of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is known as the ‘Island of Gems’ and throughout their travels they saw an array of beautiful and unique jewellery. Sophie never imagined that the owner of the hotel they were staying at would hold the key to turn her dreams into a reality. They were introduced to the hotel owners’ brother who owns a small jewellery factory in Galle on the South West coast of Sri Lanka. As soon as they met they hit it off and all the ideas Sophie had were becoming possible. After lots of discussions, drawings and a further visit to Sri Lanka, Koko Jewellery was finally launched at Koko’s retail shop the end of May 2018. Mainly Sophie uses raw un-cut gemstones in her designs which means every piece of jewellery is unique. Every order will come with a branded logo to display in store and a satin gift bag for each item.

Chérie is a collection of jewelry, both fine and contemporary, dreamt up and designed in Los Angeles by Sharon Reuben. A Francophile and fashion enthusiast, Sharon had long felt that the jewelry pieces she wanted, both for everyday and for something special, were missing from the marketplace. She combined forces with her husband Jason’s family jewelry business to bring her visions to life. The resulting collections are elegant and whimsical. The fine pieces more dainty and demure- truly wearable every day; while the contemporary pieces are where statements can be made allowing our clients to try of-the-moment trends without too much commitment. Our fine jewelry is all made in Los Angeles, while the contemporary pieces are made with our trusted manufacturers overseas. This allows us to keep our pricing fair while ensuring the utmost quality for the entire collection.

PrettyUgly began as a means to represent intersectionality, as many of us are marginalised by the societies we live in. The 'Endangered' rings aim to empower the wearer on their journey, and give them strength and courage to stand tall in the face of adversity. The Hawk represents "fight or flight". The Pig represents the gender and ethnic pay-gap and every person's right to "bring home the bacon". The Goat ring represents victim blaming and being "scapegoated". The Rabbit represents "going down the rabbit hole" into a dark place. I carve each design out of wax, once cast in sterling silver each piece is personally hand finished in my workshop. The craft and care that goes into each piece ensures that each one is unique. Silver is a soft metal and although it is important to take care of such pieces, I encourage you to embrace the marks and scratches, for true beauty lies in imperfections, and they will bear the marks of your life and how you choose to wear it.
