Damur (Shih-Shun) Huang started his entrepreneurial career in 2015 by launching #DAMUR in Berlin. His design philosophy combines classical garment techniques with the newest methods in textile science, always with the goal of changing the story that society expects to hear. He makes designs that combine figure elegance with functionality, mixing of professional appeal and avant-garde details. As a member of Fashion Council Germany and McKinsey Berlin Experience Studio, #DAMUR is ever developing. The freedom-seeking Berliner attitude is prominent in the design aesthetic and wearability of the pieces, with high-quality denim being used in non-traditional ways such as distinguished tailoring and cuts which together elevate the pieces to a higher level. #DAMUR produces an authentic fashion series in which a new story is created every season. Each episode is centered around breaking through certain stereotypes, myths, and controversial issues present in today’s society. The playful colors and details, together with the strong silhouettes and clean cuts of #DAMUR’s garments are the exact reason why the brand can be best described with two words: “Naughty Elegance”. #DAMUR is rewriting the rules of garment design as you are reading this - no garment can be mainstream, no garment can be boring, no garment can be missed. At #DAMUR, we aim to provoke thought, raise questions, and wake the desire to be different, bold, and confident. Our studio is located in the heart of Kreuzberg.
