Sew Last Summer was born in October 2020 when we got bored of having no fun accessories that fitted our vibrant but soft personality, that were were made with love, care and the planet in mind. Sew Last Summer is a slow-fashion brand based in Essex. Focusing on utilising and rescuing textiles from landfill, we create accessories that make you look good, and feel confident - and doing a lil bit to save the planet! Dubbed ‘The Crown of Joy’ our headbands are a well loved best seller. Our luxurious and fun accessories are designed and created by Tiffany, a Disabled and queer, self taught sewist who was born in Essex. She is passionate about sustainability, finding joy in the small things and daring to be different. We choose to use fabrics that we love and that feel good - these are typically viscose, cottons, satins and velvets. These fabrics are beautiful and fun to use, and feel great when you’re wearing them! Many of the fabrics we use are made from deadstock or vintage fabrics, and we love nothing more than rescuing these fabrics from landfill to give them new life. We try hard to minimise waste - so if you see a product but the fabric isn’t listed, drop us a message and we can discuss this. Please message me for any custom orders, we will be happy to source the right fabric or product just for you. Our inspiration for fabrics and sewing creations come from the fun patterns themselves, plants and the Earth.

Carlos and Paul met through a friend in the late 90s and having travelled a lot I had ideas to buy and sell beautiful things – what? I wasn’t sure! Following a trip to Rajasthan in 1999 we took a market stall on Cambridge market and sold original pashminas, antique silk saris, cushions and rugs. While Carlos sold at the market, I visited shops and sold direct to retailers, learning about the world of retail and in 2001 we took our first gift and accessory trade show stand, and when Selfridges placed an order, we knew we were doing something right. Remaining to work from our Cambridge studio, we have a small but perfect team and now offer over two collections per year, supplying our in-house uniquely designed products to the best shops in the UK and beyond. We are aware that freshness plays a major part in any business, so we’re constantly developing new ideas, products and working with different techniques, which makes it very exciting for all of us! We take great pride in the design and quality of our hats, we only use natural sustainable fabrics such as linen and cotton for our summer hats so as well as protecting you from the sun, your head can also breath and are all super light weight so extremely comfortable to wear on the hottest of days. All of our hats are made with an elastic adjustor channel inside the lining so that the customer can knot it to their own head size. So sizing is not a worry. We are a small family owned and operated business in Southwest Missouri. B.A.B.E. standing for our 4 children (BraydenAlexaBrockEmma) Myself, Callie owns and operates a boutique as well which is how B.A.B.E. was born. During Covid with the forced shutdowns I looked for alternative ways to get inventory and quickly saw the need to help out other boutiques. It became my passion and I absolutely love the sourcing and manufacturing process as well as seeing the finalized product. My husband Ben is the most resourceful and analytical person and is our main shipper! He also farms full time and is at our farm as much as possible when not shipping orders. (He wishes he can be there all the time!!) Our kids help from time to time as needed, and my Mom also works with us full time. We love family and love what we do which enables us to be at all of our kids games and functions. We know without God we are nothing and our salvation is our first priority. We discovered these beautiful hats in my home town in Mexico, where we were inspired to share these beauties with you, at the same time supporting our artisans from our home town and other parts of Mexico. As we have grown, we now share our own creations with you while still supporting our community.
