After living in Indonesia for half a decade with her family of four, Sarah feels a strong connection to the islands she once called home. The Indonesian Archipelago is our source of inspiration and artisan partnerships. We've supported the communities we hold dear through endeavors like the LOMBOK SEWING PROJECT. Launched with help from INDONESIA AID, we employed a group of young women in a remote village on the island of Lombok, bringing jobs to rural Indonesian communities. We continue to support and work in partnership with artisan makers throughout the Islands. Bringing together more than 200 women, DOUM FOR WOMEN is a women's basketry cooperative whose mission is to integrate rural women from the Douar Touggana, located 20 km from the city center of Marrakech. Our main goal is to help these women to be financially independent by providing them with a stable income within an ideal work environment. It is in 2019, in Marrakech, that we created our rural basketry cooperative DOUM FOR WOMEN. DOUM evokes the palm leaf, at the heart of our collections, pruned and woven by women artisans.
