Located in Provence, in the town of Arles, in the heart of the Camargue Regional Natural Park, our farmhouse is above all a farm. Three generations live there and it is both the place where our family lives and the workplace. The farmhouse is a typical Camargue settlement (built in 1426) where the farmhouse provides space for animals (sheepfold, pigeon house, stable) and for humans. Today, there is no longer livestock but we grow rice, wheat, sunflowers, alfalfa, chickpeas, canned tomatoes and of course vines in organic farming. Tenute dei Paladini is a family-run winery. It was born in the 30s with Matteo Paladino. Currently Matteo and Emanuela Paladino, grandsons of the founder, follow the in the footsteps of his father Paolo and represent the third generation. The company, located in Western Sicily, in the province of Trapani, the most vineyard in Italy, in an area between Petrosino, Mazara del Vallo and Salemi, extends over an area of about 60 hectares. Next to the traditionally native cultivars such as Nero d'Avola, Grillo, Grecanico, Inzolia, Moscato Bianco and Zibibbo, “international” varieties such as Merlot, Sirah are bred and Chardonnay who have found the most suitable terroir for their geological adaptation. Our philosophy is based on love for agriculture, for our land and, in particular, for the fruits it produces. Messing is a project by friends who share a passion for excellent wines and sustainable winemaking. The aim is to present a wine collection that was developed according to optimal conditions and reflects the natural environment in the wine. Our grapes are processed where they grow gently to ensure first-class quality at all times and to save unnecessary transport routes. In short: Brass combines quality and sustainability. Winemaker Hubert and sommelier Raphael will meet at a wine fair in 2018. The two already know each other fleetingly and arrange to have dinner together to round off the day at the fair. At dinner, Hubert gives deep insights into the wine industry, which is struggling with serious problems. This includes the fact that family-run and organic wineries can barely withstand the price pressure on the market anymore, as cheap industrial wine is sold at dumping prices. In addition, it has become clearly difficult for consumers to recognize what distinguishes artisanal wine from a winemaker. At dinner, the idea of creating a wine brand comes up that creates transparency, is creative and combines the two essential values of quality and sustainability. Under the label “Messing Weine”, top-quality organic German wines will now be created in collaboration with family-run wineries.

A family business. Since 1786. Urban's father brought the Swedish name with him in the 80s. In 2008, we took over the business in the 10th generation. Unlike the generations before us, we wanted to make wines that would not only quench our thirst, but would also talk about us, our ideas, our vines and vineyards. We immediately switched to organic farming and defined goals, which had to be achieved slowly. We wanted to make bold, exciting and authentic wines, wines for which evolution and tradition should be two sides of the same coin, wines that were fun and others that were demanding. Our founder Carl Coignard created INNOWINE in 2016 after a career in various major wine and spirits structures. Committed and visionary, we promote committed viticulture that respects the environment. The adventure began in our strongholds of Languedoc and the Southern Rhone Valley and continued in recent years in Bordeaux and the Loire Valley.
