Together we share a love for the great outdoors, whether that be scaling mountain tops or traversing the urban jungle. These are the moments that have filled our souls and got a couple of tails wagging. It's that precious time out in the open air that led us to found Embark in 2015.

We’re a family-owned business in the heart of Wolverhampton who opened up shop in April 2017 and have been growing like a puppy on a well-balanced diet ever since. And we keep things simple -- our store, warehouse and offices are all on the same site, meaning if there’s an issue with your order, it gets sorted as quick as possible. Our retail store has seen a variety of expansions ever since, such as the Community Aquarium and Sensory Activity Centre in 2020, the Reptile Room in 2021, and the Pond & Wildlife Education Centre in 2023. The vision... For several years now, we’ve been developing our own branded pet care products, which are made with one ethos in mind – everything we create is of good value. This stems from our own position as consumers, as we only believe in making products that we ourselves would want to buy. Everything we develop comes straight from the factory to our location in Wolverhampton, meaning that we’ve cut out the middleman entirely. Ancol is a family-owned and family-run business. Founded in 1971 by Ann and Colin Lane, Ancol was originally a manufacturer of superior quality leather collars and leads for dogs. The range developed to include items for cats and coats for dogs, and other pet accessories soon followed. Today, Ancol has over 2,000 different articles in the range and is rapidly growing! We wanted to create a brand all about matching accessories in the cutest patterns for you and your pooch! Cocopup was founded in 2020 in the UK and is run by a small, close knit team of women working hard to not get distracted by their office pup Ralph!

Hugo & Hudson was born out of frustration that we couldn’t find certain dog products on the market where premium high-quality products were matched with the latest fashion trends. Following on from the heartbreak of the loss of my dog Dougal in the Spring of 2016, I partnered up with my Labradoodle breeder, Francesca, to create Hugo & Hudson. We are always asked where the name came from, back in those early days Francesca had just got an Australian Labradoodle from America called Hudson, and I loved the name Hugo. Once I was ready to welcome a new Labradoodle puppy into our family the following Autumn, I really had to call him Hugo didn’t I!

From humble beginnings I started this business because I could see the plastic waste in our oceans. Something needs to change & I wanted to be part of this movement. If I could create a business to help people buy more consciously, reduce waste and fill their homes with beautifully made pieces that will last a lifetime. I knew I would be happy! Jolly Hound is run by me, Chaan - the designer and maker of all Jolly Hounds items. I started about at University creating womenswear clothing and knitwear. I changed paths when I got my first dog - Denzel, a Frenchie. 3 years and 3 more French Bulldogs later, I decided to combine my two passions - my 4 French Bulldogs and creating crafts to develop the brand Jolly Hound. I make the all rope and Biothane items in the shop myself. I have chosen the harnesses designs to compliment the rope lead colours.
