Sweet Bee Organics started very humbly with one product - sunscreen! We had one employee and simply made a good quality organic sunscreen out of our home. As we grew, the house was bonkers and was always filled with sunscreen, laughter and loads of packing boxes!! In the summer of 2019, I (Hollie), the owner and founder, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cervical cancer. The tumour was big and I opted to have a radical hysterectomy to remove the tumour, but opted out of the chemo and radiation that was recommended. Instead, I decided to use natural medicines, herbs and diet to stay in remission. I also made a promise to myself that if I survived this, I was going to make Sweet Bee Organics into something bigger, and so I did! Sweet Bee's next product was Winter Wellness and it was a huge hit. From there, we have just been so inspired by everything we make. Everything is made to make you feel good from the inside out and the outside in. Recently, we have focused on the huge responsibility of sourcing our ingredients directly from farmers. We have some of the greatest staff members who are totally dedicated to producing exceptional products that are high-vibe and WORK! We use only the highest quality ingredients in each of our products and scour the planet for the BEST and fairest producers. Naturally Gorgeous Cosmetics is owned and run by Leoni Adams, a Marine Biologist, based in Devon, England. With a passion for the ocean, and a background in science, the company was started to provide a solution to a plastic-waste-free skin and hair care routine. Focusing strongly on natural, nourishing ingredients, the brand started out with shampoo and conditioner bars, and has grown to include many other gorgeous hair and skincare products. Each available scent has been carefully crafted from a mix of natural essential oils to provide beneficial hair and skin care properties. My ethos is to create effective, kind-to-skin products that are truly natural and don't irritate or harm the body or the environment. Our range is certified as cruelty-free (no animal testing, ever) under the Leaping Bunny programme and registered with the Vegan Society. Made in the UK by hand in small batches and formulated with the highest quality organic and sustainable plant-based ingredients. As a trained massage therapist I was looking for product that added to the hands-on work I was doing - a long body oil that soaked in quickly so that I could work deeply without sliding around. I also wanted a choice so that I could select different oils for different needs, for example inflammation, post-injury, scar work, stuck tight congested muscles, purely relaxation, etc. I learnt how to make creams and the techniques and subtleties of blending plant oils. The range came from here and I subsequently discovered that the oils were a wonderful alternative to body lotion… and with some tweaks made some lovely face oils… the range grew in this ‘organic’ way. Each ingredient is carefully chosen for a specific purpose – for nourishment, protection, soothing inflamed or damaged skin, or extra nutrients for dry or sore skin. I blend the products by hand using a range of oils from seed kernels, fruit and nuts together with precious oils from plants such as papaya, evening primrose and camellia. I hope you enjoy them.
