Hey Ricochet is a line of extremely cute and super functional hair accessories from two friends in Austin, Texas. Why Hair Clips? The short answer? We love them, and think they’re really fun. The long answer? Hey Ricochet is the brainchild of Andrea Stein and Cayce Matteoli, an author-illustrator duo known for their whimsical, magical children’s books. As busy moms and small business owners, we’re constantly reaching for hair clips and claws to keep our hair up and away from tiny hands without damaging it. When one of us brought up the idea of designing our own line, it was immediate explosion of ideas bouncing off each other—a ricochet, if you will.

Tari Lorraine is a modest fashion and accessories brand we make beautiful handmade products, sustainably in the UK. From humble beginnings in 2012 to being established in 2020 we have grown from a small living room in my parent's house to a shop and team making a dream come to life. We specialise in Satin/Silk Bonnets, and accessories. We aim to grow Tari Lorraine and have our products become regular items in every household. From a passion for protecting the beautiful natural hair and luscious curls, we created a product that will do just that. We have colours, collections and plenty of styles to choose from and alternative options for protecting your glory!

We are mad about pom poms and that is why we started the business. The happiness a traditional yarn pom pom brings, the colours, and the smiles they give is continuous. We realised there was nowhere to go for beautifully made, fun ready made pom pom products and so we began to design and make our own collection. The USP is in the quality of the yarn and the traditional techniques we use in the design and making of each product. Keeping it fun and simple is at the heart of our business. Cookie & the Dude is a hand-made, textile forward brand that has been owned and operated by me, Helen Fawcett, in the California Bay Area since 2002. The name spawns from my two beloved cats I had in college, CookiePuss and Xanadu. Cookie was named after a song by my favorite hip hop crew, the Beastie boys, and Xanadu was named for Olivia Newton John and her glam-tastic role in the movie Xanadu. His name was quickly shortened to The Dude when he became large and lazy, similar to role of The Dude in the Big Lebowski. All in all, the name sums up my youth and growth as I moved through the formative years of my life. The brand, however, is very much inspired by mom, a woman who could go toe to toe with Martha Stewart any day of the week. She taught me how to be resourceful and unique all while adding color and whimsy to the world. After 20 years in the business I am still very much inspired by my mom, the joy I find in seeking out fabrics and findings to create my next collections, and the satisfaction of handmade creations for all to enjoy.

We work within a community in North India. Due to the community’s caste status, the people living here are unable to participate in traditional jobs. To survive, families marry off their daughters at puberty. Once married, women and girls are forced into sex work to sustain themselves and their families. Sewing New Futures works with women to provide paid training and mentorship as they learn about sewing, appliqué, textiles. With these skills, women gain a sustainable income while applying their creative talent and vision to artisanal work. Sewing New Futures is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and every purchase you make has a purpose. The money earned goes toward career training, education, medical care, and social services. Most importantly, sales of these goods benefit the women who are brave enough to disregard their cultural norms and refuse a life of prostitution. You may not think of yourself as an activist, but your support will change lives.

Sew Last Summer was born in October 2020 when we got bored of having no fun accessories that fitted our vibrant but soft personality, that were were made with love, care and the planet in mind. Sew Last Summer is a slow-fashion brand based in Essex. Focusing on utilising and rescuing textiles from landfill, we create accessories that make you look good, and feel confident - and doing a lil bit to save the planet! Dubbed ‘The Crown of Joy’ our headbands are a well loved best seller. Our luxurious and fun accessories are designed and created by Tiffany, a Disabled and queer, self taught sewist who was born in Essex. She is passionate about sustainability, finding joy in the small things and daring to be different. We choose to use fabrics that we love and that feel good - these are typically viscose, cottons, satins and velvets. These fabrics are beautiful and fun to use, and feel great when you’re wearing them! Many of the fabrics we use are made from deadstock or vintage fabrics, and we love nothing more than rescuing these fabrics from landfill to give them new life. We try hard to minimise waste - so if you see a product but the fabric isn’t listed, drop us a message and we can discuss this.
