Hand-roasted to the Elbe. We are Public Coffee Roasters — a young coffee roasting company in Hamburg. We look for specialty coffees from the best coffee farms in the world, roast, process and distribute the gently roasted coffee from our houseboat, which is anchored on the shining Elbe in the middle of Hamburg. We want to make the art of coffee making accessible to everyone. Smell it. Taste it. To feel. Coffee for all your senses. “Public” stands for the public interest we want to awaken in specialty coffee and its versatility on the one hand, and the transparency of our products and services on the other. We see coffee preparation as a craft and coffee as a multi-faceted quality product. We attach great importance to sustainability, know-how and fresh, gentle and individual roasting. Only those who know everything about the origin and processing of coffee can exploit the maximum taste potential of a bean. “Quality with every step of the process” is our credo — this not only applies to the processing of our coffees, but also to the relationship with our employees, coffee farmers and customers.
