They have become somewhat of a "thing" around San Fransisco Bay Area, where he was born and raised. Since launching in 2021 the response has been phenomenal. In 2014 we came to the realisation that the sauces we were buying in the supermarkets weren't doing our food justice. They often contained water as one of the main ingredients and usually some sort of thickener. Sauces should be about flavour and the big brand stuff just didn't cut it. We cooked big pans of sauce in our home kitchen after work and spent the weekends selling them on markets or delivering to shops. Word spread, business grew and by 2015 we left our jobs working in the mass production side of food. Our mission has always been a pursuit of flavour. We're now a team of 34, who cook, bottle, label and pack every single product. Based in Nottingham, we produce thousands of bottles and jars every week to be shipped all over the world. We're only just getting started though, our ambition is to become a global brand, helping people create great tasting and exciting food all over the world.

We are a small company with big plans. Chefs and cooks turned business owners. We started out at monthly markets and now find ourselves in some of the best delis, shops, cafés, bakers and butchers in Ireland and across the Irish sea. Originally Inspired by Japanese taberu rãyu our sauces like us are a bit of a mish-mash between different regions, cultures and countries. We have a lot of passion for the subtle flavours of Japan but love to introduce the big banging tastes from China and Korea.

Eaten Alive is the product of two chefs who bonded over shared passions for food, travel, and fermentation. Glyn and Pat have spent more than 20 years in some of the country’s best and most fun restaurants and food businesses, from L’Enclume, Fera, and The Ledbury to Japanese-themed hotdogs, fried chicken, and patisserie. There are thousands of hot sauces available to buy, but only a handful have been through the fermentation process which gives addictive, satisfyingly savoury characteristics, complex flavours and rounded chilli heat. We ferment and mature each batch of sauce for up to six months to ensure the amazing flavours that have won our range so many awards. Bio-live, vegan and totally addictive.
