Push/Pull is an artist co-operative in Seattle. We began in a small basement studio in 2013 and now occupy a storefront retail business in the Ballard neighborhood. Our mission is to support artists to have sustainable careers and to foster creativity in our community. You won't find another shop like us - we're an art supply, indie comics/zines, gallery, events, and publisher. Push/Pull Press publishes indie content that would usually be self-published. We wanted to turn the table on indie, paying creators to make their zines without taking away any of their control. We cover the distribution, printing, layout and retail. Our books cover a wide range of subjects including memoirs, fantasy, politics, art and more. We also handmake our own art supplies in-store, including watercolor and gouache paints, fountain pen inks, and sketchbooks!
