The Lime Tree Design journey began with our founder, Kate, and her love of vintage jewellery and passion for making the everyday beautiful. Along the way Julia, Ella, Tracey and Celia joined, making up our small workshop team. If you follow us on social media then you will know that our extended family of needlewomen who are scattered around our Nottinghamshire village are a crucial part of the business, as well as our workshop dog Wellie! Over the years we have designed an original range of jewellery which has been inspired by our travels around the world, nature and of course the vintage pieces we have discovered. We have also curated a successful range of home and personal accessories which continues to grow year on year and now features lavender sachets, tea towels, hankies, bandanas, kimonos and our newest addition - tunics. We are passionate about supporting other small businesses, such as those featured on our site and also participate in charity events. We are currently aiming to make what we do as eco friendly, sustainable and as ethical as possible, whether that’s with our product sourcing, packaging or energy consumption. We take pride in working with small workshops in the world renowned Birmingham Jewellery Quarter where our lockets are made by hand and our charms are cast and plated. Our chains are made in Italy by a family run business who have been in the industry for generations.

Des cultures, des hommes et des femmes, des traditions et une force intérieure incroyable. Telle une exploratrice, je suis à la recherche de ces pierres fines qui permettront de créer des bijoux amulettes en totale harmonie intérieure. Du montage à l'assemblage, tout est réalisé à la main, dans notre atelier à Paris. Notre mission est de créer des bijoux accessoires, je les imagine tels des amulettes portant des significations profondes et de bienveillance. Des bijoux qui vous inspirent à affirmer votre propre puissance et à poursuivre votre propre voyage intérieur. Chaque pièce est créée, à Paris avec une intention spécifique, en utilisant des pierres naturelles, soigneusement sélectionnées. Je suis persuadée que chaque pierre possède sa propre histoire qui sera révélée au port du bijou réalisé. Je pense que chaque personne a une essence unique et les différentes collections sont conçues pour refléter cela.

Materials used include 100% silk cord, thin beading chain (with the option to choose from gold plated or gold filled to cater to your customer), and lots and lots of tiny seed beads!

Xander uses semi-precious stones, elements of wood & rattan in his work. He finishes his jewellery with either 925 Sterling Silver or 14k gold plated components. All the jewellery he produces is nickel-free. (He is also allergic!) The brand, after his own name, Xander Kostroma® launched in the Fall of 2018, is now stocked in over 550+ independent boutiques worldwide and is also exclusively available online from British retailers Freemans.com & Lookagain.co.uk. Xander is based in Lisbon, Portugal and it's from his home studio that all styles are initially created. Once a design is finalized, the sample for production is recorded digitally and emailed Lydia who is Head of Jewellery Production and is based in Handan City, China. It’s from Lydia's studio, with the help of her two assistants; Lily & Pinna that all jewellery production is carried out. The women, led by Lydia’s expertise, hand-make all pieces of jewellery including suncatchers for the brand. Once production is finished, the goods are shipped to Swansea, Wales where the goods are received into the warehouse. It’s from this location that all orders are picked, lovingly packed and shipped out globally. Last of all, Amy the in-house model shoots from around her home and garden in Northamptonshire, England while Ria, the second photographer captures the lifestyle images at her studio in Norfolk, England. The brand is carbon neutral planting 1 tree for every unit sold - offsetting production C02 emissions.

Augusta Jewellery is a small independent one woman business based in Somerset (UK). Growing up near Glastonbury meant my fascination with gemstones started from an early age and I began making jewellery over 15 years ago. My travels to the far East and love of mythology also inspire the bohemian aesthetic of Augusta Jewellery. Amulets and gemstones are at the core of my collections in order to manifest positive energy and a little bit of magic for the wearer. Far from ordinary but subtle enough for everyday wear. Created to compliment the wearers individuality we offer a choice of chain lengths with the majority of necklaces. Augusta Jewellery is a mixture of my own designs and care carefully sourced handmade components. The Raven's Edge is a one woman operation that started as a hobby making jewelry and collecting rocks and minerals just a few years ago. Since 2021, I made my hobby an official business and began to include many rocks, crystals and minerals in my shop alongside beautiful jewelry creations. My tastes are very eclectic and I reflect that through my art and design when making a piece of jewelry. Nature is a big inspiration to me with its peaceful and serene beauty. Jim started making reproduction Viking artefacts in 1999 while working at the world-renowned Jorvik Viking centre. He got to spend a long time looking at the original finds and wanted copies of these for his re-enactment hobby. Alas, many of these wonderful items were difficult to obtain, so he made it his own personal mission to learn how to make them for himself. He found his background in archaeology immensely helpful. Soon, fellow re-enactors and colleagues from the Viking centre had seen his work and he was getting bombarded with orders to make more for them. So, in 2002 we founded Asgard in Bradford. Then, after a decade based in the Scottish highlands, in 2015 it was clear the business was expanding yet again, so we relocated to Argyll. We now employ 12 members of staff between our foundry in Dunoon, Scotland and our own highstreet shop in York, Engand. We have spent the last 20 years bringing historical artefacts back to life in the form of our replica jewellery. The history of each replica is told on our packaging. We work with the heritage industry, and also the film and television industry. We supply museums and gift shops across the world. Much of our range is based on Viking period jewellery, though we also produce a range of Celtic and Pictish jewellery that celebrates the art styles found in Scottish history. All our jewellery is made in the United Kingdom, and our pewter is lead, nickle and cadmium free, thus meeting EU and US regulations.

In 2001, Sonja Swenson designed and fashioned her first handmade necklace. This moment signaled the beginning of her passion for jewelry-making and skill sharing. From that moment, she learned that creating designs and seeing them come to life was a true passion that could be shared. Soon after, she opened a bead store where she began teaching classes. She didn’t want to just make pieces to sell - Sonja wanted to boldly empower others to create and share their art. She wanted to give those around her a means to fashion beautiful pieces, generate income, and develop strength through purposeful relationships. Nearly ten years later, Sonja was in the process of restructuring her current bead and clothing store when she found herself with excess product. But rather than throw away the perfectly good beads, she sought out a way to repurpose. This deliberate search led her to Haiti. Sonja and her daughter Shelbi ventured to the Caribbean country just two short years after it was devastated by an earthquake that ravaged the country and left millions jobless.
