We are a small family run business and manufacture all our treats in our licensed manufacturing facility and dog bakery shop located in Rother Valley Country Park. We are qualified in Canine nutrition and develop all our recipes with health benefits in mind. All our treats are tested through a laboratory too! A V Pets was born out of a personal story of the owner. Starting as a weekend pet care service in their local area, the business soon blossomed and this year A V Pets expanded into teaching accredited Pet First Aid courses and opening their ecommerce site. This includes extremely affordable natural dog treats, multiple toy ranges, pet accessories (incl. some handmade accessories), and more. The natural treat side of A V Pets evolved because the owner's eldest dog suffers from a lot of allergies and gastro-intestinal issues. They were sick of seeing these treats being retailed at a more expensive price, knowing owners would pay that for their pooches, as after all they are precious to us! So it was time to offer the world natural treats, at a much more affordable price. Soon after A V Pets' natural dog treats were being featured in multiple local venues and coffee shops. Hackney Dog House started in 2021, and one of the driving factors behind starting the brand was the recurrent tummy issues our cavapoo experienced. From doing a lot of research on how to support him through diet (rather than expensive short term medicine/ vet visits), pumpkin emerged as a commonly recommended ingredient. Given that pumpkin isn't widely used in human diets in the UK, sourcing it posed a challenge, and canned versions proved to be messy and short-lived. We wanted to create a minimally processed and more convenient alternative to canned or fresh pumpkin - Hackney Dog House's pure pumpkin powder and pumpkin + probiotic blend, are both designed to enhance dogs' overall digestive wellbeing. Both blends are manufactured in the UK and are vet approved. We are launching new products with the same ethos as above, natural, minimally processed, nutritious, convenient, and delicious for your dog.

The idea began with a love of biscuits and puppy dogs and a dream to combine the two. The results, we hope you'll agree, are treats that everyone's best friend will love. All our Biscuits are Handcrafted, in small batches, in the Bark & Bake Kitchen. They are all made with the highest quality Organic ingredients which we locally source. Our animal proteins are from Organic farmers and are always Grass-fed and Free-range! It's important to us to add as much nutritional benefits to all of the biscuits we produce so that they truly are a complimentary treat to all pups diets. We make all our treats Wheat and Gluten-free and ,where possible, Grain-free. We add no preservatives or additives, and we do not use any refined sugars or sweeteners, all the sweetness we need come from natures fruits...you'll find no nasties here! We air dry all our products to give them the longest shelf life possible. For most this is a minimum of 5 months, however some seasonal stock will have a shorter date. We bake in small batches and upload all new batches on a Thursday. So please do not worry if we are out of stock, more will arrive soon. It's so important to us, as a small business, to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. Therefore all our packaging is made from recycled material and always recyclable itself.
