About Guineas

GUINEAS is named after the guinea fowl, a bird that symbolizes protection and vigilance, and also happens to be an effective tick hunter.  The inspiration for tick-repellent socks came from my husband’s battle with Lyme disease. After doing research, I learned that ticks crawl from the ground up (!!), and that socks can be an effective first line of defense.  As a mom, I wanted to develop a kid-friendly, non-messy solution, so families can enjoy the outdoors with peace of mind.  - Melissa, Founder of GUINEASRead their story
