Maddie and Me is a handmade hair accessories brand established in London and now made in Chicago, IL. While living abroad, Kelley, the owner + maker behind the brand, discovered Liberty of London fabrics and this set things in motion. While the brand began with hand-tied bows made for her daughter, the brand is now best known for its gorgeous headbands. Headbands are gently flexible, lightweight and comfortable making them one size suitable for ages 4 to adult. Each product is cut, sewn, pressed, hand-tied, and secured with care. Kelley loves finding beautiful fabrics and source them from small businesses and from abroad. All of these special touches are what make her hair accessories ones you will want to reach for time and time again!

Hi, my name is Alexis. I started my South Coast Sewn in September 2020. I grew up on the beautiful South Coast of Massachusetts. When coming up with my business name I wanted to incorporate my hometown and a small part of my roots in my name. Sewing was a quarantine hobby that I started that quickly turned into a brand that I am so happy to see that everyone loves. Whenever tough times arise, I always try to see the positives in a situation and if there isn't one, I will try to make one. Which is exactly what I did in 2020. I said that I was going to make quarantine the best thing that happened to me and everyone laughed at me. Well since then I have sold my products to every state in the country, and I have sold to countless countries internationally. Facing many days where running a comb through my hair seemed almost impossible, but still wanting to look and feel cute, I created customized headbands that were comfortable and slip resistant that helped me elevate my look quickly and with minimal effort. Before long, I was creating pieces for clients across the globe – all of us longing for a quick and easy headband to help get us through the day. So, can a headband change the world? I have so many special memories of my mother making the most beautiful black velvet scrunchies for me when I was growing up. Watching her on the sewing machine would bring me the greatest joy as I loved to see her create the most beautiful things. I would promise myself that one day I will also sew and create something beautiful for others to wear. Almost two decades later, I have my own business, creating unique and one of a kind scrunchies that make women all over the world feel special, confident and unique. Handmaking each scrunchie is so important to me as it's a way for me to express my mother's legacy as well as having a chance to create the most beautiful designs. To know that women all over the world wear and love ByAmerjit scrunchies is a feeling I'll cherish forever.

Carolyn founded Whale Bags Ltd. in 2007 after learning that plastic was devastating the oceans; she read an article about a whale that had died from ingesting plastic and decided to take action – determined to help people stop using plastic bags she designed her organic cotton bags as alternatives. Over the years Carolyn has brought all her passions together: education, protecting the environment, health, wellness and travel, to develop the charity, The Whale Company, that focuses on environmental education. A percentage of every sale goes to support this great cause. Carolyn believes by turning passion into action you can bring about positive change in the world. We can all play our part in the fight against plastic and it starts with something as simple as remembering to take your own bag with you when you shop. We are mad about pom poms and that is why we started the business. The happiness a traditional yarn pom pom brings, the colours, and the smiles they give is continuous. We realised there was nowhere to go for beautifully made, fun ready made pom pom products and so we began to design and make our own collection. The USP is in the quality of the yarn and the traditional techniques we use in the design and making of each product. Keeping it fun and simple is at the heart of our business. Starting with the pom pom garlands we now have pom poms to wear, decorate with and even fairy lights which have become a best seller. My story is inspired by my late grandma - she owned a neck scarf or two, which were the epitome of her 1950s 'lady of class and style' persona. However, for me, the colours on these inherited gems were too muted, so I began creating my own colour block designs for scarves. My hairstylist was the first to notice my whimsical handcrafted 'trial' scarf - and from the moment she asked where I'd 'bought' it, I knew this was more than a one-off project. I've designed and printed hundreds of limited edition designs in the Seven years I have been running - which are here to speak of your fun character and tell generations to come about your style & class.

Sustainability: We prioritize the use of sustainable, eco-friendly materials to craft our hair clips. Our eco-friendly clips are made with cellulose, a synthetic fiber produced from plant derivatives such as wood pulp and cotton. Cellulose is both durable and biodegradable. Packaging: We eliminated individual wrapped plastics and will only use a singular plastic bag to protect our product in their packs. Any packing material that is plastic is reused or repurposed as packing material instead of thrown away. Shipping: We will do our best to ship your orders together when possible to reduce shipping material waste and our carbon footprint, saving you money too!

Hotline Hair Ties was created in 2017 when Megan (who owned a small boutique at the time) was looking for a solution for the perfect hair tie. She had been diagnosed with a rare brain disorder that caused debilitating migraines daily, and she hadn't been able to wear her hair in a simple ponytail for over a year because of the pain it caused. She knew a better solution had to be out there, and that's when she found out about coil hair ties. At that time, there were only the small, thin, black ones that would easily get caught in your hair and stretch out instantly. She knew she could make them better. Hotline Hair Ties was born! She used her background in the boutique world to find a manufacturer to create the hair ties to her exact specifications, and she launched the brand not expecting much but just happy she had a way to wear her hair up now without being in pain. Hotline exploded almost instantly and other boutiques were asking to carry the brand! Fast Forward to a few years later, and Hotline is now carried in over 1500 stores across North and South America. Her experience owning a boutique caused her to make sure the brand was perfectly geared for retailers. With a profit margin of 4x on average, she wanted to make sure it was a brand that her retailers could make money off of. She also implemented the Replacement Program that the Hotline team personally takes care of, so that shop owners don't have to deal with any issues themselves. Hotline takes care of it all!

Sew Last Summer was born in October 2020 when we got bored of having no fun accessories that fitted our vibrant but soft personality, that were were made with love, care and the planet in mind. Sew Last Summer is a slow-fashion brand based in Essex. Focusing on utilising and rescuing textiles from landfill, we create accessories that make you look good, and feel confident - and doing a lil bit to save the planet! Dubbed ‘The Crown of Joy’ our headbands are a well loved best seller. Our luxurious and fun accessories are designed and created by Tiffany, a Disabled and queer, self taught sewist who was born in Essex. She is passionate about sustainability, finding joy in the small things and daring to be different. We choose to use fabrics that we love and that feel good - these are typically viscose, cottons, satins and velvets. These fabrics are beautiful and fun to use, and feel great when you’re wearing them! Many of the fabrics we use are made from deadstock or vintage fabrics, and we love nothing more than rescuing these fabrics from landfill to give them new life. We try hard to minimise waste - so if you see a product but the fabric isn’t listed, drop us a message and we can discuss this. Please message me for any custom orders, we will be happy to source the right fabric or product just for you. Our inspiration for fabrics and sewing creations come from the fun patterns themselves, plants and the Earth.

I started Sahara Sage with two dreams in mind; own a successful business and save up for a Jeep. Now my goal is to provide each and every one of the women in this world with a high quality, hand made scrunchie. There are too many scrunchies being dumped in waste piles and women wasting money on scrunchies that will only last them a few months before having to buy more. This is not right economically or morally. Scrunchies were things I always loved and thought, why not start an Etsy shop! So, in July of 2020, while in quarantine, I started using my mom's old Singer sewing machine and old fabric and made my first scrunchie. I now have made over 1000 scrunchies and have taken photos, designed my banner and logo, made product descriptions, and much more.
