In 2015 we developed the first Kokoji recipes in our kitchen and after a crowdfunding campaign, we created our workshop at the Agropole d'Agen in Lot-et-Garonne. Hello :) You're wondering who we are? Where we come from? Well, it's a pretty great story :) Once upon a time, in 2008, Nekisia Davis was running a famous pizza restaurant in Brooklyn, NY and one night after work she found herself dreaming of a better granola to brighten her breakfast experience. The following morning, totes in hand, she stocked up on granola ingredients at her local Co-Op and headed home to create a batch of granola that would change the world (the world of granola, that is). Her friends and co-workers were WOWed by the taste and, voila! Early Bird Foods & Co. was hatched. It didn't take long for Nekisia's innovative + delicious granola to garner fans in high places. Martha Stewart was among the first (check this out!) then the New York Times' Melissa Clark, then Rob & Robin at New York Magazine, then all of everyone everywhere. Even Daniel Humm, chef from the 3 Michelin star restaurant Eleven Madison Park, borrowed her Farmhand's Choice recipe for the EMP house granola! Over 16 years in business and growing strong, Early Bird Foods & Co. remains the VERY BEST granola on offer anywhere fine cereals are sold. Woo woo! Early Bird is WOMAN & QUEER OWNED and OPERATED and damn proud of it! Nekisia is a Cancer who enjoys long walks in the park with her pup Ruby, cooking dinner for friends at her home, and swimming at the beach. Oh, and she loooooooves to sing Kate Bush songs at max volume when she thinks no one is listening.

HI - WE ARE SUPERZEROS Mild-mannered mortals by day and crusading cereal creators by night. We love breakfast. Especially cereal. And we grew up feasting on all of the sugary classics. You name it. We piled it high and added sprinkles. But as we grew up we realised we weren’t doing ourselves any favours. All of the alternatives were all effort and no fun. So our adventure began to make something new. It was a huge learning curve at first as we tried to turn ideas into real products. Cereal has been trapped as a mass produced commodity for decades and that’s reflected in the base ingredients - cheap grains and buckets of sugar. It took alot of work to find the magic combination to put a smile on our faces again. We also wanted a fun way to bring it alive. We love the Superhero genre and everything we do is a tribute to a rich and optimistic genre we have huge respect for. And so the superzero brand was born... We have lots more ideas to come in the pipeline so watch this space. We certainly hope to bring as much joy to you with our cereal as they have to us in creating them. A portion of all online sales of Laura's Gourmet Granola is being donated to World Central Kitchen, a not-for-profit non-governmental organization devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters. Hi! We are Helen and Bob and we set up the Ludlow Nut Company in 2004. Escaping from city and corporate life is a dream for so many people, and that’s exactly what we did, we upped sticks from London and moved to the medieval market town of Ludlow in Shropshire. We moved into our new purpose built premises in 2018 and make a wide range of healthy food for busy people including our award winning luxury porridges, mueslis, granolas and a range of nut butters. We also supply an array of best quality nuts, seeds, dried fruits, superfoods and sweet and savoury snacks. What will you get when you order from the Ludlow Nut Company? Healthy and Wholesome Food. We don’t add artificial preservatives, colourings, sugar or salt to any of our muesli, granola or porridge mixes. Our nut butters are free from any artificial preservatives, colourings or added sugar. We are a Safe And Local Supplier Accredited (SALSA) food producer and we don’t outsource our production. We store all our products in our modern, climate-controlled premises, which keeps them in peak condition and we have introduced recyclable packaging and jars across our breakfast cereal and nut butter range. We have also installed a 200 x solar panel array to the roof of our new building, LED lighting throughout the building and a smart metering system. We anticipate that across the year our solar panels will meet most of our energy requirements.

Cathryn set up Simplyseedz following corporate world redundancy and a health scare, to offer unprocessed breakfast products with a maximum of 5 key natural ingredients. Initially everything was mixed and blended in Cathryn's Worcestershire home kitchen but now at much relief to the family, our products are made in the UK on our behalf to our exact recipes. A home kitchen has it's limitations and certainly wouldnt be able to cope with the volume we produce now! All our porridge is a mix of British jumbo oats, with pumpkin & sunflower seeds for extra nutrition with real peices of fruit (not highly sugared flavourings). They are vegan, dairy free with no added refined sugar. You can eat them hot or enjoy cold as overnight oats too. Our packaging is fully recycleable and our compostable. porridge pots have even been reused by gardeners as plant pots! Every little helps, as they say!

As fifth generation hill-sheep farmers we know a thing or two about a hard day’s work and just what’s needed to fuel it. We started making our own-recipe granola more than ten years ago when visitors staying overnight at the farm enjoyed it for breakfast and kept coming back for more. We added porridge and muesli to the range and have been making more and more ever since! What started as a diversification to support the farm, here at Yockenthwaite, Langstrothdale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, has become a new passion for us. Still a small family business (and still happily farming here), we are as committed as ever to creating naturally delicious food, full of the flavour and texture our award-winning range is renowned for.
