Hello, my name is Becka, the owner of Special Tokens, and my husband is an NHS frontline hero. Early 2020, when the pandemic started, we suddenly found ourselves in this bizarre situation of being locked indoors. My way to cope with this new norm and remain sane for our children in the absence of any support, was to design. My background is architectural, but I have been a stay at home mum for a while now. My doodles evolved into how our lives were being impacted, and how it wasn’t just about us. Drawing rainbows became a symbol of supporting the NHS family including our very own hero and this is where the most popular pin emerged from. As a sign of gratitude, Special Tokens donates 10% profit of every sale to the NHS and local food banks. Special Tokens is growing every single day, and with the enamel pins being the most popular, it is time to make these tokens of joy more readily available for people to enjoy, wear with pride, and do good.
