John and Linda Stanley’s passion is healthy sustainable living on a healthy planet. We aim to provide within a beautiful, safe and loving environment a top quality unique range of sweet chestnut products. We farm naturally using regenerative agriculture. That means we do not use chemicals, but instead use animals to build microbial activity in the soil and increase soil health and in the process increase animal health naturally and subsequently, improve human health. We purchased Chestnut Brae sweet chestnut farm 15 kilometres south of Nannup in the southwest of Australia in October 2013. We travelled to Italy and France to see how chestnut farmers grew and marketed their chestnuts and find out what products could be produced. We came back with 300 recipes for chestnut products and a vision of how to develop the farm. We peel the chestnuts on the farm before vacuum packing, or drying or milling into gluten free products including organic chestnut flour. Everything, apart from the making of the alcohol is done on the farm in Western Australia by hand in small batches to ensure the authenticity of our products.
