I am a maker, wife, and mother -- to a few dogs, an insane number of plants, and one very special little human. We make everything from stackable moss poles, plant trellises, planters, plant accessories & décor.

Our goal is to connect plant and self-care with a line of natural products designed to keep your indoor jungle shining. After years of collecting, tending, and losing many plants to neglect or pest we came across so many solutions online. Most issues can be prevented or cured by DIY mixtures or commercially available synthetic chemical sprays along with carrying plants outside or in the shower. Time spent caring for our botanical beauties is supposed to be more therapeutic though. We developed a wet wipe that would clean, protect, and feed your collection of botanical beauties. Created by conservation scientists, Seedball offers a new twist on an ancient technique for increasing seed germination rates - helping to fill our gardens, balconies and window boxes with native wildflowers, bees and butterflies. Native wildflowers are naturally slow to germinate, and as such, loosely scattered seed can often be eaten by ants, birds and mice. Seedball helps to solve this problem by encasing the seed in a protective ball of clay, compost and chilli. A barrier of dried outer clay means that the seed is inaccessible to predators, and once sufficient water permeates the clay, the seed inside will begin to germinate - helped along by the nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs and snails while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout. Seed balls are incredibly easy to use - simply scatter on top of soil or compost (no digging or expertise required!) and nature will do the rest. Between Two Thorns was established in 2017 primarily as a shop specialising in rare and interesting house plants, cacti and succulents. Natural Grower Fertiliser for Organic Growers is eco-friendly, chemical free, sustainable and safe for wildlife. Made from maize it is the by-product of a renewable energy plant on our family farm. All of our products are approved organic by the Soil Association, BioDynamic and Organic by the BioDynamic Association and Vegan by the Vegan Society. Our plant feed and soil conditioner can either be mixed in with compost or soil when planting, or used as a mulch on the surface of beds and pots to help retain moisture, at the same time as giving a wonderful organic slow release feed to the plants. The liquid is Ph neutral, so if you dilute it with rainwater to make it slightly acidic it can also be used to feed acidic loving plants. The feed can be used for outdoor and indoor plants, making it a very versatile product. Our compost is a multipurpose, peat and green waste free compost. We manufacture all our products on our farm in Leicestershire using crops that we have grown.

With four years as a team targeting the plant market, serving a community of thousands of plant parents, Rosário and Cristina realised that there was a need for natural products, with careful communication and aesthetics. But it was not just about the plants. We wanted to empower people to keep their plants alive while contributing to a better world, by reducing carbon emissions and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle. With that vision in mind, we have created an innovative product line, circular-economy based, as it is made with natural by-products ingredients and upcycled materials. Our products are designed to make caring for plants enjoyable and easy, while also being mindful of our planet’s resources.

We are a small eco-craft company based in Suffolk. The idea for our kits grew from a project that our founder (Julian) was doing as part of an end of year project for an MSc in Engineering with the Open University. The general theme was to come up with a product idea based around the recycling/reuse of household waste. Julian knew that he was due to do the weekly "walk of shame" and so the opportunity to reduce the number of wine bottles to be taken to the bottle bank was very appealing. Julian was already well versed in the field of hydroponics, first being introduced to the related "aquaponics" during his studies for a degree in Applied Marine Biology. Having completed the project Julian made the decision to look into the practicality of making and selling the kits for real, and so the journey began. We have done our absolute best to ensure that the Hydro-herb kits we make are as environmentally sound as they can be. We source our parts carefully trying to ensure that we have as small a carbon footprint as possible. All of the parts in our kit are either recycled and recyclable or entirely biodegradable.
