Designer and Founder of ALIBI NYC, Jo Liu graduated from New York University with a degree in Psychology and Economics. While at university Jo spent a year studying abroad in Florence, Italy. It was there she discovered her passion for art and fashion. Shortly thereafter, she started working for handbag company Suen-Cooper and became a full-time production coordinator after graduation. She often travelled to Italy for business, while there she observed a multitude of designers and worked with numerous artisans at their studios. Interacting with such creative minds inspired Jo to pursue her future in fashion. In order to chase her dream, she enrolled at Parsons School of Design to major in fashion studies. While at Parsons, Jo began an internship at fashion company Jen Kao, as well as working as a production assistant at Tina Tang Jewelry where she learned the basics of jewelry making. Infusing her personal style with what she learned, she soon began to experiment with her own designs. Read their story
