Woven Worldwide is a socially-conscious, home décor brand renowned for our range of high-quality, eco-credential, handcrafted baskets produced by inter-generational artisans in Ghana. Each Bolga basket is meticulously crafted from elephant grass, a robust, renewable, tropical-scented grass that grows in bamboo-like clusters beside streams of living water and does not require pesticides or fertilizers for cultivation. Baskets made of elephant grass are a popular choice for storage solutions that generate calm, pleasant environments due to its composition, lightweight, and texture. It complements all we do, inspired by Bolgatanga's pleasant countryside and eco-clad homes. A Note on Shipping and Minimum Orders Due to the generous size and unique shape of our baskets, our couriers utilize a volumetric rate for shipping—this means that, instead of being charged by weight, we are charged for the amount of space our baskets take up during transit. To help balance this cost and continue to serve you, we’ve adjusted our minimum order value to $2,000. Please note that our air courier only ships to the nearest major airport of our customer, not directly to the business addresses. Please know that this isn’t a permanent change; it’s just a step we’re taking to navigate the current shipping environment. We truly appreciate your understanding and ongoing partnership during this time. Warmest regards, The Woven Worldwide Team

Twenty years ago, scientists were beginning to understand how waste plastic was finding its way into our oceans, acting as a sponge for chemical pollutants, helping to carry them into fish and then on to us. Horrified by this prospect founder and ecologist, Beth Williams, wondered what she could do to raise awareness around her. How to create less waste, be mindful of our individual consumption and make small lifestyle changes to hopefully make a big impact? And so Turtle Bags was born, with a mission to raise awareness of this invisible problem and to offer beautifully made alternatives to plastics which are kinder to both people and planet. Behind the brand Turtle Bags is a real passion for the planet!

Big Blue Moma employs over 360 weavers in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana. We work closely with the team to establish the best outcomes for both our clients in the developed world, and our weavers. We call what we do "Conscious business" because in every decision we make, our team is considered fully. We are not a charity, we are a for profit business and the Ghanian team are our partners in this venture. We learned in our short time in Ghana that charity is not our preferred method of helping. Business is more sustainable, and it is more valuable than any one time gift or donation. So me personally, Karie Wylie (also known as "Big Blue Moma") well I come from a small town in Northern Alberta and went to Art School in my twenties. I graduated with a Degree in Testile design with a focus on weaving. I come by my love of this craft honestly and when I am not working I can be found at my loom.
