RAYGUN is a lot more than just a t-shirt shop to us, and what people buy is a lot more than just t-shirts. Everyone who works here is born and raised in the Midwest, and we have not only been lucky enough to host a wide variety of people in our stores, but we have been able to give back to organizations we support by donating 15-30% of our net profits since we started. In addition to money, we have given merchandise, expertise, in-store events, and volunteer hours to the groups we believe in. RAYGUN believes that ethics start with your first interactions with us: all of our non-managerial staff -- from floor staff to production, from designers to part-timers -- are unionized as UE Independent Local 8515. There are quite a few unionized print shops in the country, but we are, believe it or not, the largest unionized clothing chain in America. With our flagship store being in Des Moines we also have stores in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Kansas City, Chicago, Omaha, Cedar Falls, and Davenport, with many of our designs pertaining to the Midwest and others being more topical and specific. As proud as we are to have a presence in all of these places, we work to make RAYGUN something that our home region can be proud of.Read their story
