Words like eco, ethical, and sustainable have become so widely used and misused that sometimes it is hard to know precisely what they mean, which is why we take a conscious approach to what we do. That includes offsetting carbon emissions, our climate-positive workforce, planting a tree for every order, being a living wage employer, and giving back 1% of sales to green initiatives. Our founder, Simon, worked in buying and product development for nearly a decade at one of the world's leading design and lifestyle brands, which led him to create his eponymous brand. Designed in the UK and handmade in Nepal and Rajasthan, Sew Heart Felt has always strived to design gorgeously hand crafted products, bringing joy to all of the family. We have become one of Europe’s leading felt lifestyle businesses focussing on bringing brightness to our customer's homes and winning multiple Gift of the Year awards along the way. Our journey began on a farmhouse table in leafy Oxfordshire where UK award winning designer Sonia Spencer drew the now much loved Finlay Fox slipper. From here, the drawing went to Kathmandu in Nepal, where our artisans created the first slipper and Sew Heart Felt was born. Since then, the range has expanded from slippers to children's playroom and bedroom decor, such as animal rugs and wall hangings, nursery decor including our beautiful bird mobiles, and most recently the best selling Tiny Animals collection which have proven to be the perfect gift for all of the family no matter the occasion. We hope our products continue to bring joy to all of our customers and people love them as much as we love designing and making them. Crafting Process: Our felt designs go to Kathmandu where they get made into prototypes by skilled felt makers and seamstresses. A traditional craft of the Nepalese villages, wet felt making and designing is a group activity at the workshop – with teams of women working together with great skill and expertise to craft the slippers, furnishings, clothing and Objet d’art in the Sew Heart Felt collection.

Ruaille Buaille (pronounced rool-ya bool-ya) resonates with me on several levels. The phrase is Gaelic, which plays into my Irish heritage, and it means "cheerful mayhem" which happens to be a general theme in my life! I love creating fun home decor in farmhouse/boho styles. All designs are created by me, and each piece is hand crafted from start to finish.

Fuelled by a conversation one day in Rajasthan with the owner of a small textile business and now lifelong friend and a key supplier, Ganpat suggested Sam came back home and started a business. Starting a business meant earning a living while putting something back into such a beautiful and wonderful part of the world and that’s exactly what happened. Namaste, translated as ‘I greet the spirit within you’ was founded in 1997.
