A Young Girls Dream... As a young girl, I loved creating things... anything really, but there was something more than just the love for creating things, I LOVED that people LOVED the things that I created. It was something about the idea of people spending their hard earned money to purchase an item that I hand crafted... it drove me. I never lost that drive, it has kept me going through and through. I have done many things in my life including serving in the Army and working for the United States Postal Service and while I loved those jobs, I never could let go of the idea that I needed to be making things, I needed to be making people happy with the things I made. I started my Etsy shop in January of 2016, while I was working as a Supervisor for the United States Postal Service which can be a very demanding job (probably why I loved it so much). By February 2016, I decided to close my shop because I just couldn't handle both jobs at the same time. I went on my way with my life and my normal job, but I still couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to be doing more... I needed to be making things. In September 2016, I reopened my shop. I was working from 5am-2pm (plus quite a bit of extra hours) every day for the Postal Service. I would come home and from 3pm-9pm, I would work on orders. Some nights I wouldn't sleep at all just so I could make sure my orders were shipped out on time. By October, business was BOOMING and I was IN LOVE with the company I was building. Read their story
