Each pair is handmade in New Orleans by our small studio of artisans with great attention to detail and quality. I personally design every earring and use fade-proof, waterproof UV ink to bring the vibrant colors to life. To ensure maximum comfort for even the most sensitive ears, each earring is attached to Medical Grade Pure Titanium, nickel-free posts. I'm originally from Nairn in the Highlands and grew up with a field of highland cattle along the road that I would chat with each day on my way to school. There's still cattle in that field and a visit home still consists of a quick chat with them, although I now have a couple of small people tagging along who are growing up to be just as fond of them! I work with fine silver in its clay form, sterling silver, semi-precious gemstones and every now and again a little splash of gold at my home studio in Edinburgh, to make a variety of products from earrings and cufflinks to bangles and necklaces, in styles ranging from my popular Scottish Seashell collection to Tickety and Boo the Highland Cows. Hi! We are Gabby (a.k.a. Bunny) and Anisa (a.k.a.Fox), the founders and co-owners of Fox and Bunny Rise. We met for the first time in 2017 when we shared our university accommodation during our first year of study. Since then, we have shared a close friendship, spending most days in each other's company. Fox and Bunny Rise was born in the middle of the pandemic as a form of escapism, trying to beautify and bring light to a dark time in many people's lives. Our business name came from Anisa's love for Foxes, Gabby's nickname being Bunny and RISE as an acronym for respect, individuality, self-confidence and equality. We create our pieces in various styles and materials. We are always trying to improve to be a more environmentally friendly brand. Therefore, we are slowly substituting our epoxy resin pieces with jesmonite ones. Our main target in creating our products is to be as waste free as possible. With our work we hope to create an inclusive and accepting community for everyone.

Helen Chalmers is a trained jewelry designer who specialises in glass. Based in Scotland she studied at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee and now transforms Italian and German glass into earrings and pendants from her Queensferry workshop using the technique of lampworking. She adores working with colour and adding a wee slick of coloured enamel and precious metals to finish some of her pieces. Helen is keen to make her work affordable and accessible so anyone can own a bit of art jewelry if they fancy it! Her studs are the most popular item by far, they are made by melting glass directly onto the hypoallergenic surgical steel posts meaning they are permanently fused together with no need for glue. All items are hand designed by myself (Amy) and brought to life using laser cut FSC certifed birch wood or UK sourced acrylic. They are either UV printed by a local company or hand painted by myself. Each piece is assembled and packaged with care. Sustainablity is at the heart of the brand and all packaging is recycled and recyclable. The backing cards are printed on FSC certifed stock and orders are packed in recyclable boxes. Jewellery is protected in sealed biodegradable 'cello' bags made from corn starch. Prickle People's creative partners and suppliers are all UK based small businesses who also share my vision.
