THE STORY OF CRAFT & CRUMB Some of our best childhood memories revolve around cake. Founders Kate and Louise were lucky to have mums who made ambitious fairy towers and rainbow cakes for special birthdays. Even better were those days when they were allowed to pull up a stool and mix the batter. Craft & Crumb was set up to recapture that magic. Kate and Louise met when they were both pregnant with their first daughters. One day, laughing about their birthday cake efforts, Kate (a product developer) and Louise (a John Lewis graduate) had an idea for a birthday cake kit. It would, they decided, be beautifully easy to follow… and taste like a homemade masterpiece. Following the launch of the Rainbow Unicorn cake kit (2016) came eco-friendly party bags and, when the pandemic ended our party plans, baking kits of all kinds… with some lovely awards* picked up along the way. Now, you can depend on Craft & Crumb whenever you want to make sophisticated macarons, New York style cookies, or fun iced biscuits. Our kits are tested for simplicity and deliciousness. Inside the packaging (which is now 80% recyclable) are craft activities which can be done while the oven’s on. And… the baking tastes so good, all that’s left are crumbs.
