About Some of Us Notecards, LLC
In Some of Us Note cards, I've created the woman-centered, environmentally responsive, vibrant, culturally thoughtful, joyful cards I've always wanted to see. What's more, they are made by me -- a one woman show -- printed by my local community printer, and distributed through my small business model that allows me to know every one of my distributors. I'm an author, a professor, a single-mom, and a mental health advocate. I've always found hand-written notes to be healing, and in 2022 I decided to fulfill my dream of being a greeting card maker. It started with a desire to capture Black life on Martha's Vineyard, and extended to include images that are important to book-ish women! This small business is still grounded in my home, and every day I strive to produce and share images that are crisp, strong and beautiful. I partner with organizations to be sure that for every card sell I am able to make books and bookmarks available to incarcerated women, among others. Moreover, my real joy comes from helping women to feel entitled to take up space on the page and beyond. Since my founding, my cards have been available in retail and wholesale markets around the country and they are making people happy! This brings me the deepest joy.
