Neighbourhood Botanicals is a formulator-led independent skincare brand. We've been blending functional, living skincare in ceremony with nature since 2016. We stand for thoughtfully formulated, minimally processed skincare, made in-house by our founder. We use incredibly nutrient-dense cold-pressed oils and pesticide-free organic extracts for the good of your skin and the ecosystem. We are serious about our formulations and the quality of our ingredients but lighthearted about the fun stuff like product names and design. Founder and formulator Micaela Nisbet, formerly a touring live sound engineer, grew weary of the demanding lifestyle on the road and embarked on a new path in cosmetic formulation. Today, she applies her expertise to 'engineer' natural skincare products, channeling her passion for how-things-work into creating harmonious and effective formulations. Our customers are mainly design conscious Millennials who aren’t being served by the current lineup of natural, organic brands with minimal, serious or earth-mama branding. They want quality, authenticity and traceability and ingredients they understand. They want to support small businesses and they believe natural skincare holds the key to glowing skin but aesthetically they want their products so look cool on their bathroom shelves.
