Founded in Brooklyn, NY in 2016, Magpie Dry Goods is an accessories design company. We focus on high quality, modern, urban-style backpacks, messenger bags, dopp kits, and travel bags. The collection is made from responsibly sourced and produced materials including vegetable tanned leathers made by skilled artisans. All of our products are designed with what we consider Urban Practicality. We understand that a bag first and foremost must be functional. While functionality is essential we also understand that a bag is an extension of a carefully considered look and is as important as the clothes we wear.

Colibries is a Dutch accessoires brand, started in 2013, initially as a children's label for a contemporary washable paper accessories collection for dressing up a baby's room. Slowly expanded with a line of bags, using zero waste design principle. We maintain the unique characteristics in each product with our various hand touches from start to finish, which include our choice of using eco-dye, leftover trimmings and fabrics. It’s our take on the pieces of detail that subtly sets us apart. All products are designed and handmade in our home studio in the Netherland. Embrace an organic lifestyle through Ohrna! Ohrna was born of a dream to use eco-friendly materials to conserve the beauty of handmade traditions while creating work to benefit homebound women who have not had an opportunity at employment. Ohrna believes in working with compassion, for the earth and its people - have done and always will! Our products combine jute with beautiful cotton fabrics and are lined not with plastic as is common practice, but with the same fabric. Ohrna patronizes jute because it is a vegetable fiber, naturally decomposable and durable. The Ikat and Tie dye Bandhni cottons we use are regional fabrics made by artisans at home. Our products are handmade in the homes of our makers and hand embroidered in Kantha stitch. We train for free, housemaids, housewives and farmers, often from rural settings. We provide them all the materials and pay them to work from home while balancing their home-fronts, as they learn and grow. This process, that steps them from a learner, to a maker and then on to become an artisan is a long and arduous one, but one that is life changing for her. We take great joy in introducing embroidered jute to western markets! We are also a zero-waste company and use leftovers of our process to make products like dolls, luggage tags and bookmarks. It began in 2009 with a ball of wool and a crocheting needle in a Roma community in North West Romania where the Hungarian plain meets the Zarand mountains. As we worked alongside the poor, listening to the stories of their lives, we were provoked by one question: How can we help to restore hope and empower people living in poor communities? DECE (which means “WHY?” in Romanian) became our bridge to helping people escape from cycles of generational poverty, developing skills and potential in individuals, restoring dignity and empowering people to provide for their families. DECE is part of a holistic community development program developed over many years of working alongside families living in very difficult circumstances. Many families live in small mud-brick houses with earth floors and no running water or drainage and struggle through winters where the temperature can go down to -25 Celsius (-13 Fahrenheit). Medication is often too expensive to afford and many families struggle to provide simple necessities like shoes, basic clothing and food. The first DECE product was a simple crochet hat but now our brand has grown to include handmade leather bags and accessories. We love to develop and produce products that are sourced as sustainably as possible and are crafted to last and this ethos ripples down through our employees and into their communities as we begin to see real lasting change in their lives.
