Hot Drops is the anti-hot sauce in many ways. It's flavor first, heat second philosophy is more akin to a zesty condiment than a 'burn your face off' sauce. In that, consumers use it in large quantities to enhance, but never dominate the cuisine they love. ---- This brand was born from the pandemic & a bumper crop of peppers. With a surplus of peppers from his garden in October 2020 founder, Andrew Whiting, decided to make a homemade hot sauce as a holiday gift. He spent the year growing & fermenting the resulting peppers. The result were homemade sauces given out as holiday gifts and they were such a hit that he decided to start a business. That’s how Hot Drops was born! Andrew grew up in Northern California — a region known for top-shelf agriculture and cuisine — in a family of food lovers. They exposed him to the world of food, and he’s been hooked on creating experiences where gathering & food are The Hot Drops promise is simple; source & ferment local organic ingredients to create complex flavors that will enhance your meal, not dominate it. Andrew understands that tolerance for spice is subjective, and the variety of Hot Drops sauces reflects that.
