We are a friendly Fair Trade wholesaler, dealing in unusual and interesting gifts, musical instruments and clothing from around the world. We are a proud member of BAFTS, The British Association of Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers. Siesta was started in 1983 with a market stall selling Baja hoodies and blankets that were brought back from traveling through Mexico (hence the name!). Our Mexican Baja tops are made using a cotton/acrylic yarn produced from recycled fabrics which makes them a great eco concious choice.

Over 1,400 years ago, a large piece of fragrant driftwood washed ashore on the tiny Japanese island of Awaji. Realizing the uniqueness of the marvelous fragrance emanating from the wood, island locals presented it as a gift to the Empress Suiko. With this gift of precious agarwood began a new era of refinement of — and appreciation for — the enjoyment of fragrance. In the early 18th century, Rokubei Moritsune Hata began incorporating incense-making techniques he learned as an employee of Kyoto's Imperial Palace. He would eventually introduce a new world of scent to an audience beyond the realm of royalty. Twelve generations later, the Hata family continue to create an amazing array of fragrances. Shoyeido incense is considered the highest quality, most natural incense available on Earth. Shoyeido's blending process is an art form. Highly trained "masters" draw upon centuries-old secrets to create masterworks of fragrance. These artisans carefully process the quality, balance, and ratio of every hand-selected natural ingredient. The slightest variation in amount or quality of any component can dramatically influence the outcome. Only the finest raw materials are used. The results are remarkable, subtle scents that beckon us to use all of our senses — what the Japanese call mon-koh, or "listening to incense." Our products are proven sellers in many markets, including health food stores, gift shops, bookstores, boutiques, vitamin stores, apothecaries, spas, and salons.

Catherine Rising is a collection of home goods designed and produced in Rochester, NY, sold worldwide. Our OOAK products are designed and produced in our studio, or made in collaboration with like minded artisans and farmers. Our line draws inspiration from natural elements, craft, and a focus on bringing beauty to every day. Our pieces are assembled with care, by our close-knit team of women employees. Our floral and incense bundles are wrapped in vintage fabric, string, and yarn that is purchased from a local non-profit which sells secondhand and deadstock crafting materials, where proceeds go back to the community, providing sewing and textile-based classes, as well as job training. Our flowers and grasses are sourced through various growers throughout America, sometimes even from our own backyards for limited edition products. The palo santo we use is sustainably sourced in Ecuador by a company with a strong reforestation program, our eucalyptus is harvested and bundled on a small family farm south of LA. Our rope incense is fair trade, from Nepal, it’s handmade in small batches by women artisans, who keep ancient techniques alive. Our stick incense is rolled by hand in Mexico using the best resins and oils. Our studio team is responsible for making all our apothecary goods, which we hand-blend and pour from top quality materials, like olive oil and coconut oil, as well as beeswax and essential oils. We are proud of our pieces, and we hope that it shows in every order.

The Golden Altar - Originally began as Muse Incense when I realised how much incense was a part of my daily ritual. From meditating, cleaning or taking time for a cup of tea I always enjoyed lighting an incense and taking a moment. I wanted to bring that small ritual to more people’s homes. A time to be thoughtful, focussed or inspired. It was when my mum became poorly that I realised how bad for you a lot of incense can be. So I began to look into natural incense. I then worked on having beautifully fragranced incense that is made from natural ingredients and scented with essential oils, so they truly help you to unwind with a focus on aromatherapy. In a time when self love is more important than ever, I wanted to share something that felt like a treat but a treat for every day. Incense and eye pillows are where my journey with Muse started but more self love treats are on the way with the brand now being The Golden Altar there will be a focus on daily rituals, spaces and wellbeing.

Field Day was born in 2002 when Alix, a girl from County Down was inspired to capture and bottle the native scents from the fragrant fields of our Irish countryside. 
 We’ve been growing with you for over 20 years, and whilst we’re older and hopefully wiser, we’re more passionate than ever about our great Irish outdoors and creating fragrances that soothe and inspire. Mass production, this definitely isn’t. And we really do believe in stopping to smell the roses along the way… Our fragrances celebrate Ireland’s wildflowers, particularly the ordinary and especially weeds. Nettle, Buttercup, Ivy, Rosehip; these are just some of the scents you’ll find in our collections. Alix’s creativity and meticulously studied fragrance combinations have resulted in multi-award winning candles and collaborations. All our FieldDay collections are vegan and cruelty free. Our cartons are printed with vegetable inks on PEFC board from sustainable, responsibly managed forests. Our plastic bottles are made from recycled plastics. The rest of our range is plastic free. Our soaps are milled with RSPO planet friendly palm oil. Our sustainable aluminium folk tins and stoneware pots are perfect to re-purposing into a wildflower vase or pen pot. All our candles come with a seed paper topper to plant in vessel when your candle is finished.

At Brownstone we love a monochrome look and we also love home fragrances made from clean and pure natural ingredients. We have worked hard to create a range of unique fragrances made from blends of essential and botanical oils, combined with soy, rapeseed and beeswax for a clean burn, and a vegan soy base oil for a slow and consistent fragrance diffusion. Our packaging is very striking, with a look of luxury but without breaking the bank - when you buy Brownstone you are buying the product and not the packaging, all of which is fully recyclable and comes with a biodegradable cello wrapping. Our ethos is style, quality and originality at an affordable price and with a conscience. As well as home fragrance we focus on printed textiles, with a range of beauty bags and shower hats printed with our own monochrome hand-sketched designs in a choice of patterns. Our bags are made from 100% cotton canvas, coated to give a water repellent finish but without being shiny and plasticky looking. Our shower hats are also coated and designed so the water runs off to ensure the hats dry out very quickly.
