Emily and Fin are an independent clothing brand for creative women that’s rooted in friendship and the perfect mix of talents. Starting on Portobello Market, our co-founders Emily Whittle and Fin Armour-Brown travelled to far-away places armed with sketch pads and design ideas just waiting to be made. The original clothes that were born from these adventures laid the foundations for Emily and Fin. From our London-based design studio we create our own distinctive prints that reflect Emily’s love of colour and fun. Our prints can start with the stroke of a paintbrush or an inspiring location, meaning each has its own charm that’s never to be repeated or replicated. These signature prints and fabrics are then crafted into thoughtful and considered clothes.

We believe that all women should feel confident, strong and beautiful. We support women on that path by creating flattering, comfortable clothes that make them look and feel amazing. Ultimately, we believe that the right clothes empower women with confidence and beauty. Who we are? DesignerFriday is an eco-conscious fashion brand that stands to empower women, promote body positivity, and produce sustainable products using upcycled fabrics. The brand’s goal is simple: reducing the environmental impact of clothing production, without compromising on style. The entire collection of dresses is made from sustainable fabrics and repurposed overstocks, such as leftover cotton, recycled polyester, and recycled nylon. Any leftovers from the ready items are collected and transformed into new items like scrunchies and face coverings. This ensures there’s only very minimal waste left behind. What we do? DesignerFriday is all about slow fashion, therefore we don’t make any of our items in factories but in women-only small, audited units instead. We adopt a practice that is zero-waste, ethical, and sustainable to produce stunning, guilt-free pieces to add to your wardrobe. The mock-ups are made in our London studio using any fabric available such as old t-shirts and leftover fabrics. When creating the patterns, is where the magic of creativity and imagination happens. Then, the mock-ups are sent to India for their transformation into the final products by female makers who work in a non-profit social enterprise, to financially empower the ladies of the village in rural Rajasthan through creating ethical and sustainable fashion. I'm like a woman and mother of three childrens, I think that health is a guarantee of happiness! A healthy person can be happy, but may not be. And not healthy - not happy always. Health depends on many factors: This is ecology; What we eat; How we think; Than surround ourselves. There are factors that we can not influence, But there are those that we can change. And the choice of bedding, apparel ( textile) is one of those. Moreover, we spend 1/3 of our life in a dream. And rest 2/3 in clothes. We love what we do, love our product, and share it with everyone. We use only European, OEKO tex certified, high quality fabric. Most of our items are made of stonewashed linen. It’s the modern way of softening the linen without any harmful chemicals and making it extremely soft.
