We are a women owned producer of fresh farm-direct nuts from around the world roasted with the freshest, local ingredients available. The nuts are slow roasted in small batches using our family recipe. What makes Nuts + Nuts special is the care we take in sourcing our nuts and ingredients. We do not simply buy our ingredients from a distributor/middlemen, instead we work directly with preferably family owned farmers and producers. For example, for the maple syrup in our almonds, we work with family owned farm in Vermont, artisanal olive oil and rosemary from family owned producer in California. First, we undertake extensive research to identify the right partners. Then, we get in touch with like-minded farms/businesses to learn more about their practice and plan visits if needed. Finally, we conduct batch testing to ensure process and quality meets our expectation.

We use simple, quality ingredients to create ridiculously tasty, protein-packed food that is non-GMO verified, vegan, certified gluten-free, and certified kosher. Everything is crafted in our own zero-waste, 100% solar and wind energy powered facility based in Grand Rapids, MI. We utilize a local work force and an inclusive hiring program where at least 40% of our team are people that have traditionally faced barriers to employment such as returning citizens (formerly incarcerated individuals). We create products that sell very well in coffee shops, gyms, yoga studios, health food stores and specialty grocers where customers appreciate quality products that also have a social mission. Hi everyone! We've rebranded to DAY OUT! New packaging, same delicious protein balls! I started this company in 2018 and our mission has always been to create snacks that you can feel great about eating every single day. The idea came to me while working as a busy pharmacist with very limited time to prepare healthy meals and snacks. I found myself settling for easily accessible snacks that weren’t exactly the healthiest foods to be eating every single day. Day after day, I would opt for convenience over nutrition (even though the snacks I was choosing were marketed as “healthy” options) and eventually it caught up to me. I had no energy and would often find myself skipping my workouts which I used to look forward to. It was in that moment that I truly realized how much of an impact our food choices have on how we feel and ultimately how we live our lives. For years I searched for snacks that could easily be eaten on the go and were also made with ingredients I could pronounce. I was so done with the packaged snacks that were loaded with gums, emulsifiers, questionable oils, and artificial preservatives. I turned to my kitchen cabinets and started rolling out nutrient-rich, dessert-inspired protein balls. By leaving out the junk and fillers, these protein-packed bites kept me full and energized for hours…satisfying my nutritional needs and sweet tooth!
