As a single mother of three children, I have for a long time looked for an idea to start a business to support my family. After stumbling upon an article about a new beauty brand, I started reading, researching and learning – a process which I can only compare to falling in love – I was so engrossed in the world of natural ingredients, herbs, extracts – it was all I thought and talked about for many months. In that period of time, my approach has changed – I was not driven by a need to start and grow a business anymore; I wanted to bring to life products that would use all the amazing natural ingredients – some with a curious history and uses – for everyone to experience and use. Ingredients that I discovered and became captivated by. My mission is to produce exceptional products, made for real people – affordable, yet adhering to the highest standards. I do not promise miracles, but I do promise products that are therapeutic, effective, organic and full of antioxidants.

My name is Tricia and I’m all about positivity, uplifting vibes and finding time to reflect and process my emotions, my life, and take a break from what’s going on in the outside world. And at the risk of exposing too much of my personal life, I definitely find I do a lot of this time when I’m in the bath. It’s the time of day when I can soak away my stresses, lay back, enjoy the vibe and aroma with candles, a good book and switch off. One thing that is fundamental for me in this experience is using bath salts. What I’ve found missing on the high street though is a range of them. Sure, I can buy the normal Epsom salts which are good for drawing toxins from the body, they help relax muscles, they are a natural emollient and exfoliator etc. But scented ones are hard to come by. I had some Acai berry scented ones and I’ve bought the odd peppermint batch here and there but they seem very generic. So to enhance the experience myself, I set about making my own homemade scented range, and it inspired me to launch the idea of Zenthusiasm. A great name and strapline thought of by my 10 year old daughter – enticing people to experience a new side of Zen. Sweet Bee Organics started very humbly with one product - sunscreen! We had one employee and simply made a good quality organic sunscreen out of our home. As we grew, the house was bonkers and was always filled with sunscreen, laughter and loads of packing boxes!! In the summer of 2019, I (Hollie), the owner and founder, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cervical cancer. The tumour was big and I opted to have a radical hysterectomy to remove the tumour, but opted out of the chemo and radiation that was recommended. Instead, I decided to use natural medicines, herbs and diet to stay in remission. I also made a promise to myself that if I survived this, I was going to make Sweet Bee Organics into something bigger, and so I did! Sweet Bee's next product was Winter Wellness and it was a huge hit. From there, we have just been so inspired by everything we make. Everything is made to make you feel good from the inside out and the outside in. Recently, we have focused on the huge responsibility of sourcing our ingredients directly from farmers. We have some of the greatest staff members who are totally dedicated to producing exceptional products that are high-vibe and WORK! We use only the highest quality ingredients in each of our products and scour the planet for the BEST and fairest producers. When we can, we use local herb farmers to continue to grow our local community. We are completely dedicated to the wellbeing of our customers and the people we work with.

OUR STORY Founded in 2017, Holistic Brujas is a space for spirituality as a form of healing. Naturally Gorgeous Cosmetics is owned and run by Leoni Adams, a Marine Biologist, based in Devon, England. With a passion for the ocean, and a background in science, the company was started to provide a solution to a plastic-waste-free skin and hair care routine. Focusing strongly on natural, nourishing ingredients, the brand started out with shampoo and conditioner bars, and has grown to include many other gorgeous hair and skincare products. My ethos is to create effective, kind-to-skin products that are truly natural and don't irritate or harm the body or the environment. Our range is certified as cruelty-free (no animal testing, ever) under the Leaping Bunny programme and registered with the Vegan Society. Made in the UK by hand in small batches and formulated with the highest quality organic and sustainable plant-based ingredients. As a trained massage therapist I was looking for product that added to the hands-on work I was doing - a long body oil that soaked in quickly so that I could work deeply without sliding around. I also wanted a choice so that I could select different oils for different needs, for example inflammation, post-injury, scar work, stuck tight congested muscles, purely relaxation, etc. I learnt how to make creams and the techniques and subtleties of blending plant oils. The range came from here and I subsequently discovered that the oils were a wonderful alternative to body lotion… and with some tweaks made some lovely face oils… the range grew in this ‘organic’ way. Each ingredient is carefully chosen for a specific purpose – for nourishment, protection, soothing inflamed or damaged skin, or extra nutrients for dry or sore skin. I blend the products by hand using a range of oils from seed kernels, fruit and nuts together with precious oils from plants such as papaya, evening primrose and camellia. I hope you enjoy them.
