Inspired by the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin, Nicolet (pronounced Ni-co-LAY) Candle Company was founded in 2007 by Gerri Brunner. Nicolet began as a hobby, and then launched into a collection motivated by the desire to create a quality product – not only for our customers, but also for the planet we live on. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been taught to reduce, reuse and recycle. This principle made sense to me. In college at UW Eau Claire, I created a cardboard collection in my dorm. When driving the 3 1/2 hours home to Ripon, WI, I transported the collection because my school didn’t have a recycling program at that time. Many years later, I am proud to own and operate a company that is built on the same principle that inspired me years ago. I love candles as well as the environment, which I hope is reflected in the quality of Nicolet’s product. This company continues to be a wonderful adventure, and I send many thanks to my family and friends.
