She noticed that a lot of the kids loved to wear headbands after hair loss from chemotherapy. Armed with inspiration, Jess founded Headbands of Hope during her junior year in 2012. For every item purchased, a headband is donated to a child with an illness. HOH has grown to impact hundreds of thousands of people with a simple accessory, but it all started with a single idea to act. In December of 2021 we reached a huge goal we've been dreaming of for almost a decade, we have now donated over ONE MILLION headbands! More details: We are a small women operated give back company. All our products come on packaging that explains the cause to your customer, with your first order you will also receive a store sign that explains the cause, and we match the number of items that YOU purchase and donate headbands to YOUR local children's hospital or one of choice. For reorders, we will provide you with an updated cutomized pdf that shares YOUR story of how many headbands your boutique has donated to YOUR local hopsital. Hi, my name is Alexis. I started my South Coast Sewn in September 2020. I grew up on the beautiful South Coast of Massachusetts. When coming up with my business name I wanted to incorporate my hometown and a small part of my roots in my name. Sewing was a quarantine hobby that I started that quickly turned into a brand that I am so happy to see that everyone loves. Whenever tough times arise, I always try to see the positives in a situation and if there isn't one, I will try to make one. Which is exactly what I did in 2020. I said that I was going to make quarantine the best thing that happened to me and everyone laughed at me. Well since then I have sold my products to every state in the country, and I have sold to countless countries internationally.
