Yaza Women's Wear is started by two sisters, Tenzin and Namgyal, whose roots are firmly planted in Berkeley, CA. United by a shared passion for fashion and a commitment to ethical practices, they have created a brand that seamlessly blends the visual allure of contemporary Eastern chic with the richness of curated artisanal fabrics. The Yaza collection draws inspiration from the sisters' diaspora childhood, shaped by the vibrant cultures of Nepal and India. Growing up amidst the creative energy of their mother's boutique and the traditional craftsmanship of their father's cottage industry producing Tibetan rugs, the sisters bring a unique fusion of Eastern aesthetics and contemporary style to their designs.
